Maternal vaccinations are crucial for protecting both mothers and newborns from preventable diseases such as tetanus, influenza, and pertussis. Despite their importance, vaccination uptake in India remains inconsistent due to varied socio-cultural, educational, and economic factors. This study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative focus group discussions (FGDs) and interviews, to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of pregnant women regarding immunizations. Results reveal significant relationships between education levels, social and cultural factors, location, and vaccine acceptance, with urban and educated women exhibiting higher uptake rates. Key barriers identified include lack of awareness, cultural stigma, and healthcare access. Based on findings, a comprehensive strategy leveraging the KAP framework is recommended to enhance maternal vaccination rates and support the goal of "Viksit Bharat" through improved maternal and neonatal health.

This research highlights the critical role of integrating financial and digital inclusion in advancing rural development and economic growth in India. It involves providing accessible, affordable, and equitable financial services to underserved rural communities, which form a significant part of the nation's demographic and economic landscape. Inclusive access to banking, credit, insurance, and digital payment systems is key to reducing poverty, addressing inequalities, and achieving sustainable development goals. TOWARDS VIKSIT BHARAT 2047: STRATEGIES FOR BRIDGING GAPS IN EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, AND SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR EQUITABLE DEVELOPMENT
Sakshi Jatin Mehta, Drashti Nilesh Anawadia, Vidhika Vijaysingh Chauhan, Sachin Vilas Acharekar & Sayali Nene
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.15252066
Abstract

India aims to become a developed nation by 2047 through its "Viksit Bharat 2047" plan, which focuses on improving education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social inclusion. However, challenges include unequal access to education, inadequate rural healthcare, and the limited representation of marginalized groups. This study examines these problems using secondary data and government reports to analyze sectors such as education, health, and inclusive governance.
India has also achieved universal enrolment in primary schools and lifted people out of poverty with access to universal healthcare through schemes such as Ayushman Bharat. Some issues remained in only 80% of secondary school enrolment. There is a need to improve healthcare delivery in rural health centers. Fewer youths (18%) received vocational training. Governance is not representative of women or marginalized groups. For India to become a developed country by 2047, it must invest aggressively in the macro areas of secondary education, rural health systems across the country, skill development, and inclusive governance. Policies such as digital education, vocational training, and increased representation of women and marginalized communities can catalyze stimulating changes.
