Ms. Soma Guha & Prof. Judy Grace Andrews
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7798020
Abstract
Certificate
The New Education Policy (2020), the first comprehensive policy in 34 years under the Modi administration, is
a historic endeavour. The National Education Policy's goal is to serve as a framework for the growth of
education in the nation.
This is India's third strategy to replace the NEP since 1986. The National Education Policy, 2020, which intends
to make India a global knowledge superpower while maintaining equity and inclusion, has communicated the
structural shift in the educational system.
All programs for educating teachers will include teaching how to work with students who have particular
disabilities under the New Education Policy. The latest provision in the new school policy (NEP) 2020, which
was adopted by the Union Cabinet of India in July 2020, encourages and promotes "Barrier-free access to
Education for all Children with Disabilities." First formed in 1986, India's first education policy had its most
recent revision in 1992. India needed to revamp its entire education policy. The long-awaited new reforms that
India was hoping for are described in the New Education Policy. Two items will be prioritized in the application
of this new rule. Giving teachers knowledge and skills on how to teach kids with particular difficulties. The
purpose of this research is to study the status of the training program of Educators on teachers' conceptual
understanding and attitude toward mental disorders in students using metadata extracted from International
and National Research articles as well as several articles from Journals of International and National editions
indexed in the database. It further investigates the effect of the training programs on the educators to identify
and create an environment that caters to all.

Ms. Nishat Imam & Prof. Judy Grace Andrews
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7798036
Abstract
Certificate
This paper presents a thematic discussion on teacher preparation in India for Inclusive Education. It is viewed
in the light of NEP 2020 and teacher preparation in the mainstream education system. Though India is very
progressive in the policies and intent to include the excluded, there are gaps at the implementation level. As we
know teachers shape nations so a lot of emphasis in the policy is on capacity building of the in service and pre
service teachers.
Inclusion of children with disabilities requires a large vision and specific competencies for all teachers. A
teacher with an orientation towards inclusive education should be able to provide equal learning opportunities
to all learners; offer functional and meaningful learning environment; and respond to the needs of children with
disabilities.
There are several researches and evidence based practices in order to foster learning for all. This paper attempts
to put forth the strategies for teacher training to enhance the possibilities of inclusion. Education is the
fundamental right as per the mandate of right to education policy and NEP 2020. A radical change in the
curricular transaction and teaching method is needed to realise this mandate for every child.

The world in which we live now places a high value on the overall development of children. Our children have
diverse, multitalented, and multitasking minds. Therefore, a comprehensive approach is essential if we want to
succeed in every area of our life. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 states that all educational
programmes shall offer a holistic education, including courses in the traditional arts, social sciences, and
sciences as well as a variety of professional, technical, and vocational fields. This is due to NEP 2020's emphasis
on the importance of holistic education for the nation's leadership in all spheres. The principle that education
should be provided to people in a way that supports their entire development has long served as the foundation
of Indian educational philosophy to promote the holistic development of mind, body and soul. Only by educating
the whole person and attending to his physical, emotional, ethical, moral, cultural, social, and academic needs
can one develop a compassionate, knowledgeable personality. Giving pupils the skills, they need to successfully
manage both academic and personal issues is the aim of holistic education. The goal of this paper is to explain
the holistic approach to education to the audience. Young minds are taught the principles of humanity through
holistic education with the help of modern cultural elements like entertainment and music. It makes clear the

Mrs. Arya Ajit Tawde & Prof. Judy Grace Andrews
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7798034
Abstract
Certificate
Education should prepare students to make wise professional decisions and excel in their chosen fields. While
receiving an academic education, pupils are affected by their school atmosphere, which can either make them
feel comfortable and at ease or sluggish and lethargic. Every school has its own distinct culture made by its
patrons- Principal, students, instructors, administrators, and support staff- as well as the principles it upholds.
Every student spends a significant portion of their life in school, where the ideas promoted by the institution
shape their views, values, and ideals Therefore it is undeniable that school culture affects pupils, as well as their
decision to attend college and pursue a job. The part that a country’s educational policies play in molding its
citizens has a significant impact on not just their future but also that of the entire country. According to one of
the NEP 2020's guiding principles, we should recognize, acknowledge, and nurture each student's distinctive
strengths by educating parents and teachers about the importance of fostering each student's holistic
development in both academic and extracurricular areas; while the Principle of Flexibility principle states that
students can select their learning paths and programs and, in turn, decide on their own paths in life based on
their talents and interests. Multidisciplinary and holistic education across the student life would ensure the unity
and integrity of all knowledge

.Creativity This paper focuses on what might be regarded as the first step in journey of school
curriculum. If and how creativity is defined, where is it placed in the curriculum, and what concrete
advice is provided for teachers? Creativity Is Introduced As 21st Century Skill in NEP 2020.The goal
of NEP 2020 keeping a broader view on Education for Holistic Development with emphasis on
development of creative potential of each Individual. The concept of “creativity” as a necessary
attribute within education is established. The fields of education and creativity have developed, and
periodically crossed with, Government, reports, policies, interpretations, and advice. Natural creativity
of the student can be destroyed when the standard procedure of education is given to them forcefully.
A good classroom environment always has some elements of creativity which makes the lessons more
interesting and interactive. The right mix of creativity along with curriculum helps students to be
innovative and also encourages them to learn new things. Students can grow up as good communicators
in addition to improving their emotional and social skills.

Education is life itself; it is not a means of preparation for life. John Dewey, a well-known 20th-century
philosopher, said. This still holds true today as it did during his lifetime. Critical thinking has long been seen as
a crucial component of education. It entails reasoning, forming judgments and conclusions, and problemsolving.
The fact that India's National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 places critical thinking at the forefront of
research, curriculum and pedagogy, and evaluation is not surprising given this. This paper discusses about the
critical thinkers’ characteristics and the ways to foster it in the classroom.

“The task of modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate desserts” – C.S.Lewis
The New Education policy 2020 was initiated amidst the Covid – 19 pandemic. During the lock down phase the
teaching learning community was obligated to resort to the contemporary online mode of teaching learning
process. It is in this period that the teachers as well as the learners realized and adapted to the innovative method
of cybernetic teaching learning system. It is said that necessity is the mother of all invention. However during
the lock down phase the inventions preceded the necessity. Although the modern virtual teaching tools preexisted,
its importance was only realized during the lockdown phase. It would be prudent to conclude that had
there been no lockdown the virtual tools of teaching learning process would also not been abundantly explored
and exploited.
This research papers intends to explore the implementation of the new education policy during the Covid Era
vis a vis the exploration and adaptation of the new virtual tools of teaching learning process.
